Our family of four had a wonderful long weekend stay at the Glenalbyn Cottage with our in-laws, making 4 adults and 5 children in total. There was plenty of space, with 3 doubles plus a twin bedroom and lots of room for our travel cot.  Beds were comfortable with new linen etc.

The house itself is beautiful, having recently been redecorated, while retaining lots of period charm and character.  It is very well equipped with a good TV and sound system. The kitchen table is also really big so large family meals were great fun.

Our kids enjoyed playing in the large rear garden and there is a gate to keep the youngest ones from going far.

The house is well located in a quiet spot on the edge of the village but still only a 3 min. walk to the village shop, pub and the eastern end of Loch Earn which is of course the main draw – it’s really stunning. The kids enjoyed paddling and skimming stones on the shingle beaches.

All in all I would highly recommend staying here and we will be sure to return.

The cottage is in a perfect location in the beautiful St Fillans, one of Scotland’s best kept secrets.  Its within short walking distance to the loch, golf course, local shops, hotels and breathtaking walks.  The cottage itself effortlessly combines traditional characterful Scottish charm with the comforts of modern day living and its greatest attribute is that it is spacious and cosy at the same time.  If there is a better cottage in a better location I’ve yet to see it.  We had a fantastic time staying there and will definitely be back.

Beautiful, clean and full equipped cottage in an ideal location for exploring St Fillans.  We loved the garden, being able to walk to the pubs and loch and lighting the log burner at the end of a day’s exploration.  With a Munro on your doorstep and water sports on the loch, the cottage is ideal for the active but also wonderfully comfortable and cosy if you just want to snuggle up with a glass of wine and a good book (and the owner has provided a whole bookshelf of the latter!)

Just finished my 2nd stay at this amazing cottage and I’ve already booked for 2018! The location and cottage are simply stunning. My first trip was with my young family plus parents and I was so impressed that I decided to return with a group of friends for a week of Scottish golfing.  Gleneagles was only a short drive away but the highlight for us was the local 9-hole St Fillan’s course. A little cracker, and within walking distance. Perfect if you want to sneak in a few hours of golf..
